Onion Days Parade

I wanted to take the kids to the Payson days parade. I went with my mom. She dropped Jared and me off to find a spot, then she met Amber and Brylee at their house then walked up to our spot. Justin walked up later.

Conner didn't like all the police bikes. He started crying when they came by. It was so sad. He kept saying "scary".

This video shows the boys picking up candy. They got tons of it.
Every time there was music Conner would dance then that would get Jared dancing too.

It was really nice that Captain American stopped to let us take a picture.
These were lawn mowers that were made up to look like the cars on "Cars".

After the parade we walked back to Justin's house. While we were walking I kept having ants crawl all over me. I looked in the bag of candy and my mom put cookies that were opened in there and the ants were all over them. It was nasty.

My mom was sweet enough to watch the boys while Bryce and I did the dutch oven cook off. Bryce made his roast and I made a carrot cake. We had a lot of fun but it was a long day. We took 1st place. My dad and Justin took 4th!!!

Story

I was talking to my mom and she told me a story that Jared's teacher told her today at church. I guess Mrs. Tischner was reading a book and at the end she asked everyone "Don't you just love this book?" all the kids said "Yes" except Jared he says "not really" she asked him if he was teasing her. He started laughing and said yes. I think he will be the class clown which isn't always a good thing because I don't want his teachers needing to talk to me!!!

Jared's First Week Kindergarten

Thursday they needed to take something that started with A he took aluminium foil. He was the only one to take it. I asked what other people brought he told me 2 kids brought aprons and 1 airplane. Friday was letter B he took a little bike. Again he was the only one to bring that. He wanted to take a ball or his blanket. I told him that tons of other kids would bring those. While I was taking him to Lori's he kept telling me that I lied about the others bringing balls and blankets because no one brought a blanket and only 1 person brought a ball.

I am so glad that Jared gets to go to school with me. My class goes to computers and library with Jared's class which I love. I want my kids to interact with all kids!!! He plays tag with my students in the morning before he has to go to class and when we go out to recess at the same time as him. I love it!!! I am hoping that when all the other students see Jared playing with my students then they will realize they can too.

I signed up to help with the yearbook in his class. I was the only one. I hope I didn't take on too much!!! I really want to help as much as I can and I know I can't help with pull out time so this is how I can help. I talked to Mrs. T. and she was worried about all the space the binders would take up. I told her I would put them in my spare cupboard at school. She was excited I thought of that because she knows we are trying to sell our house.

All in all I think Jared likes school. He favorite part is recess. I am sure that is most kids favorite part of school.

1st day of school

I can't believe my little boy started kindergarten. He was really excited to go. That morning Bryce got a call out so he wasn't able to eat breakfast with us, I woke him up with a yummy breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Bryce made it home to say good luck to Jared.

We headed to Lori's to drop Conner off. He wasn't very happy to go without Jared. Jared and I worked on his homework when we got to school.

I dropped Jared off at his class and helped him turn in his homework. He had to put them in piles. Then we had to find his seat, he put on his name tag. I took a few pictures then went on my way. It was really sad to see him go but also exciting. Bryce and I went to a meeting the night before to learn what his teacher is expecting out of us. She had us write down 5 things that we remember about kindergarten I remember getting pulled out from the Grandma to work one on one with her. Bryce remembers the farmers running the cattle down the road in front of the school.

On the way to school I was telling Jared that he is in the same room that I was in when I went to kindergarten he thought that was neat.

When Jared met me in my room he said he had so much fun. I wanted to take him to lunch his first day so we went to a little hamburger place in Salem. We had a good time. He was really hyper.

Super Heros

My boys are really great superheros. Jared has been asking to wear his Ironman costume. I finally let him put it on. While he was outside showing Bryce I hurried and put Conner into the Spiderman one. Jared was so excited to see Conner in his costume. They played like they were shooting lasers and spider webs it was really cute.

Conner's Mess

I was getting ready to go to a wedding reception for someone that I work with. Conner was being quiet in his room so I checked on him. He took a full box of Pops the cereal and dumped it all over his room. It was everywhere. It took me 30 minutes to clean up the mess. I made him pick up a few but then I made him sit on his bed til I was done. He got off a couple times but I put him back on. He was in one of those moods were he destroyed everything he touched. I was glad that I had Jared that day. Bryce kept Conner while I took Jared.

Good Bye summer Hello work

I am so glad that I am able to have summers and holidays off to be with my family. It is always bitter sweet to go back to work. I love being home but I love my job. I started back to work on Thursday. I took the boys to Lori's for the first time since summer started. I left with Conner crying it was sad. I know they love it there but it was still hard to leave them. We had a good summer. I felt like a single parent because Bryce worked so much. I was really excited when he started back at Timpview.

I am not sure if I am ready for the open house on Monday. I went in on Wednesday and Saturday to get more stuff done. Saturday night I typed up stuff to hand out at the open house. I swear it is always like this every year. Plus many hours with Aubree to get stuff done too. I wish I was paid hourly!!!
